Why Alpaca Obsession, LLC
We know that you have a number of choices to purchase your alpaca and hand-dyed items from and we "thank you" for stopping by. We are very proud of the reputation we have buit over the years and we look forward to many more years of cria-ting with color and giving back in as many ways as we can.
From our Huacaya Alpacas that we have raised and bred we continue to harvest not only our own luxurious fiber, but from other local farms as well that we have partnered with over the years to make gorgeous yarn, roving and other items from their fiber.
Tony grew up working on a farm and Amy trained and showed horses. Our experiences later helped us develop and foster our own farm. Our experience ranges from show-ring success, attending a number of hands on medical and other workshops related to handling, breeding and husbandry. We believe in continuing education in all that we do.
Although we showed and bred alpacas and angora rabbits, we realized early on that it was the fiber and dying that we had a passion for and in 2017 we attended our first Fiber festival and started volunteering at the Big E Fiber Nook talking about Alpacas, Fiber and spinning. We are pleased to still have some of our fiber and hand made goods at Eastern States each year.
We pride ourselves on our open and honest approach, with high standards in our business practices and our friendships we have fostered and developed over the years.
We are a small farm with a big heart for alpacas, for the environment and the rescue world. We therefore practice as many environmentally friendly practices that we can such as using Greener Shades Dye, along with some natural dyes where it makes sense for color fast and safety.
